Submissions

Well, we are happy to know that you are interested. We would be more than glad to have you join us. Currently, we are hunting for writers, photographers, bards, artists, and people with in depth knowledge of HTML, Adobe Indesign and Corel Draw.

1. Writing (articles and short stories)- If you are interested in writing, mail us some of your samples, and a blog link if you have one, to    theadroitmagazine@gmail.com. We mainly focus on humor tinged with satire, short stories of any genre, a glance at the current global scenario with our verdict on it, movie and music reviews, and last minute things that pop into our mind. After we are done reading your samples, we shall ask you to write on a few topics that we will provide. If satisfied with those, you may be asked to write for the magazine.

2. Photography- A picture is worth a thousand words. So if you're too lazy to write and would rather get the same effect with the press of a button, you're more than welcome to get paid (not literally, just with the satisfaction of contributing) for doing so here at Adro!t. If you would want your images to be featured in the magazine, mail them at theadroitmagazine@gmail.com. If they make us happy, we will publish them in the magazine. At times, we may also ask you to click theme specific images like colours on Holi, the tricolour on Republic Day, etc.

3. Poetry- For all the poets out there, we love and accept poetry too. The poems need not follow a rhyme scheme, but should make sense. The procedure for submitting poetry will be similar to that of writing. You submit some samples, or even link us. If we like them, we will give you a few more topics. If those poems please us too, you are in.

4. Artists- The Michelangelos in the making need to scan their art works (it is an online magazine) and send them to our aforementioned email ID. We may ask you to make a few other drawings. If they impress us, we will publish them.

5. Computer Guys- If you think you are good at Photoshop, Indesign, Corel Draw, HTML, all of these, or any of these, contact us at our email ID.

6. Others- People who have other talents, which we forgot to mention, and think that they will do good in a magazine should contact us at theadroitmagazine@gmail.com.

We would love to have you all as a part of Adro!t. If you think you got it in you, we got you.

The Adro!t Magazine

We are Adroit. Or as Mr. Bond would say, ’we are Magazine. Adroit Magazine.’

The dictionary says that Adroit means clever or skillful, or in our case, both. But what the dictionary forgot to say is that we are also friendly, creative, confident, young and alive. A perfect amalgamation of the ingredients needed to brew a good and happy magazine.

Adro!t is a monthly magazine. We offer humor, poetry, photography, short stories, and anything and everything that we can, which will delight the reader and help keep his/her ennui away. We are funny, yet not insulting. Informative, yet not boring. And confident, yet not conceited.

Adro!t is not just about "we." It is about "us." For what is a magazine without it's people? We would certainly love it if you would like to write, submit photos, or be a part of the team in any other way. Details for submissions will follow.

We are an establishment based on affection. Currently, we don't pay anyone. Money is left out of the equation. Adro!t is only an attempt to spread cheers, joys and good literature all around. And isn't the satisfaction of doing just that, worth all the effort?

But there is a catch. We are an online magazine, being supporters of the Save The Earth Movement and hence strongly condemning the use of paper *sarcasm.* But yes, for reasons, we are an online magazine nonetheless.

This blog is just temporary, till we hook ourselves with a website which will happen shortly, in due course of time.

Till then, want to be a part of the family? Got questions? Fire on at the theadroitmagazine@gmail.com.
Do not be shy. This time, curiosity will not kill the cat. You can also check us on Facebook.

P.s. Adroit is spelled Adro!t.
